Officer Elections

President
- Conducts meetings and prepares agenda
- Delegates responsibilities as necessary for the success of the organization
- Represents the Organization on campus and ensures that the organization stays in good standing with the university
- Ensures that the organization is operating in conformity with the standards set forth by Iowa State and the Student Activities Center
- Serves as director of the GradSWE committee within SWE, attends SWE Committee Meetings, and submits activity logs for SWE
- Helps facilitate a stronger relationship between undergraduate SWE and GradSWE
Vice-President
- Fulfills duties of the president in their absence
- Reviews constitution and other organization documents (including SWE report) at least once annually.
- Prepares proposals for funding and developments with the President
- Keeps meeting minutes in the absence of the secretary
Treasurer
- Preside over meetings in absence of both the president and vice-president
- Maintains accurate records of organization transactions
- Develops a budget for the organization, plans for new funding sources
- Manages the purchase card
Secretary
- Keeps meeting minutes at each Executive Board Meeting
- Keeps track of member participation points
- Maintains GradSWE inbox and keeps track of RSVPs for events
- Writes and distributes weekly bulletin and event advertisements
- Completes end of year report for SWE
Director of Events Committee
- Attends Executive Board Meeting and, if necessary, Events committee meeting.
- Develops event ideas with Events committee and presents them to the exec board
- Leads committee in setting dates, ordering and picking up food, media coverage and booking room for events
- Delegates responsibilities related to events to other members of the committee to ensure proper execution of events
Director of Outreach Committee
- Attends Executive Board Meeting and, if necessary, Events committee meeting.
- Plans and organizes outreach events for the semester and presents them to the executive board
- Delegates responsibilities related to outreach to other members of the committee
Publicity Chair
- Attends Executive Board Meeting and, if necessary, Events committee meeting.
- Updates the website, social media: Facebook, twitter, Instagram to keep the members updated
- Manages event flyers and communication/advertisement to different departments in time
- Ensures media coverage with the Events Chair for social media
National and Undergraduate SWE Coordinator
- Works as SWE liaison to work closely with ISU SWE chapter
- Attends SWE undergraduate executive/ general body meetings as needed
- Coordinates with National GradSWE and SWE to organize events, communicate information to ensure ISU GradSWE is in good standing with SWE
- Plans and coordinates SWE conference attendance
